L’intervista di oggi è a Vanessa Joy, fotografa americana di matrimoni.

Quando hai cominciato a fotografare?

I started taking pictures when I was about 4 or 5 because my mom was a photographer.

I seriously started getting into photography my sophomore year of high school when I took Photography as an elective.

I was hooked ever since!

Trad: Ho iniziato a fotografare quando avevo circa 4 o 5 anni perché mia madre era una fotografa. Ho seriamente iniziato a ricevere nel mondo della fotografia il mio secondo anno di liceo, quando ho scelto la fotografia come materia facoltativa. Sono stato presa da allora!

Qual è il tuo genere preferito e perchè?

I love photographing weddings.

Other than getting to photograph happy people on the day when they’re the most beautiful they’ve even been, I also thrive in high pressure, fast paced environments.

Trad: Mi piace fotografare i matrimoni. Non esiste altro che fotografare persone felici il giorno in cui sono più belli che mai, mi piace anche lavorare sotto pressione in ambienti dal ritmo rapido.

Qual è l’obiettivo che ami di più e di cui non potresti fare a meno?

I couldn’t live without my 50mm 1.2.

It’s the most versatile lens I have and very clean and crisp.

I use it for portraits, families, details and everything in between.

Trad: Non potrei vivere senza il mio 50 millimetri 1.2. E ‘l’obiettivo più versatile che ho ed è molto definito e nitido. Lo uso per i ritratti, le famiglie, i dettagli e tutto il resto.

Sogno nel cassetto fotografico?

My photographic dream is all about the reaction of the client.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing my brides smile and be completely happy with their photos.

Trad: Il mio sogno fotografico è tutto basato sulla reazione del cliente. Niente mi rende più felice che vedere le mie spose sorridere ed essere estremamente felici con le loro foto.

Il tuo scatto realizzato preferito?

It was a rainy wedding and we took them outside during the reception anyway.

The bride loved it so much her reaction when I showed it to her that night was “Holy s**t balls!”

Traduzione: E ‘stato un matrimonio piovoso e li abbiamo comunque portati fuori durante il ricevimento. Alla sposa è piaciuto così tanto che la sua reazione quando le ho mostrato la sua fotografia di quella notte è stata: “‘sti c***i!”
